Program 9-days Bastia-Ajaccio

Day 1 Bastia

Your package starts in Bastia at your hotel at 14H00. You can visit the capital of North Corsica. The old port and the free access to the citadel you will like. From the old city you have a Breathtaking view ob the see and the mountains around you. dinner we recommend to look for a restaurant in the old port. If you come by boat, your hotel will be at 150m from the port. From the airport you can take the shuttle-bus of a taxi. Night in hotel in Bastia

Day 2 Cap Corse (Western coast)

You stay for the night in hotel Nonza. The tower of Nonza is worth seeing: beaches of small stones and aoverhanging tower. Cycling distance: about 41km.

Day 3 From Cap Corse to the Golf of Saint-Florent.

You leave cap Corse in Southern direction to Saint-Florent. In Patrimonio, known for its Corsica-vineyards you can taste the local wines at the wine cellars. Views on the Golf of Saint-Florent. In Saint-Florent don't forget to visit the citadel and walk to the port. Cycling distance: about 41km, 55km of 71km.

Day 4 The Desert of Agriates.

Today you go into the heart of the Agriates desert to come in the Balagne and its fantastic landscapes. At the end you go down to the Genova Towers. You come in l'Ile Rousse. The city owns his name to the sunset. Cycling distance: about 52 of 80km. Night in hotel in Calvi.

Day 5 By the villages of the Balagne to Galeria .

Cycling through the Balagne you will see old churches and monasteries. You follow the route along the coast to come at the Natural reserve of The Fango naar Galeria.

Cycling distance: about 66km.

Night in Galeria.

Day 6 The stage to the Gulf of Porto.

Along the walking routes of the famous Mare et Monti Nord-walk you bike first through the Forêt Territoriale du Fango to enjoy the Breathtaking views of the Golfe de Porto with its fishing ports like Girolata (you can reach only by boat of walking). Many creeks and beaches before you arrive at La Marine de Porto .

Cycling distance: about 51km.

Day 7 The stage through the Calanches de Piana.

You bike through the Calanache of Piana (an extra descent of 4km to go down to the beach) and lots of streams before you arrive in Cargese at the coast. Cycling distance: about 32km of 40 of 50km. Night in Cargese.

Day 8 A stage along many gulfs and beaches to the nice city of Ajaccio.

Along the sea you bike quietly to Ajaccio. Bays and beaches. The nice bay of the capital of the island and a beach nearby your hotel! Much must-see here in this touristy port. Cycling distance: about 53km.
Leave your rented bike in the garage of the  hotel.

Day 9 End of the package after breakast.

You will have to call a taxi to go to the airport ( 20) of go by foot to the railway station to go back to Bastia. A very nice train journey!

This package is available every day from April to October.

• Level. The program offers everyday various levels of cycling, from distances between 22 km to 71km. Therefore, depending of your level and form, you can daily adapt your cycling to your level.
  Easiest level: from 22 km to 48 km per day. Toughest level: from 46 km to 71 km per day.
• Transport of luggage. The porting of your luggage is ensured by taxis.
• Start at your hotel in Bastia on the afternoon of day 1.
• End of the package at the airport of at your hotel in Lucciana on last day.
• Availability: Any day from April to the beginning of November.
• The bikes can be brought to your hotel and taken back at the end at Calvi of Ajaccio.
