Planning a holiday with La Ligne Verte

Payment : Prices in this website are based on payment by credit card.

Payment: Deposit and balance:

A deposit of 25% -payable in Euro- of the total amount is due after availability will have been checked by La Ligne Verte, or full amount if within 6 weeks of arrival at the first hotel of your tour.

With our superior and luxury tours the deposit can be higher, because some hotels need some payment when booking a room.

Payment of the outstanding balance:

Receipt of the final balance at the latest 6 weeks before departure. If you are paying by credit card we will let you know in advance we will be charging your credit card for the final balance.

Booking confirmation after Payment: As soon as we received the authorization for the payment of your deposit we will send you by email a confirmation of your reservation and the list of hotels (with phone numbers) of your trip.

Rates and Group discounts

Basic rates are prices per person with 2 personen sharing double or twin rooms; bags transfers included; bike rental not included in basic rate.
Solo all-in prices are prices for single travellers including single room supplement; bags transfers included; bike rental not included.

Group discounts are applicable only on the basic rates p.p. with 2 personen sharing room, but not on supplements for single rooms, extra nights, nor on bike rental or any other supplements.Group discounts apply to parties and families of 3 to 8 personen.
Group discountsare indicated in a percentage of the basic rate and apply to every member of the party.
The applicable discount applies to payments that are made for the whole party with a maximum of three different credit cards.
For payments with 1 credit cards no administrative supplement will be charged.
For payments with 2 credit cards an administrative supplement of 20 will be charged to the second credit card.
For payments with 3 credit cards an administrative supplement of 20 will be charged to the second and to the third credit card.
For payments with 4 or more credit cards no groups discounts will apply.

Moreover, cancelation of just one or more personen of the group will affect the total group-discount applicable (i.e. lower substantially for all the remaining members of the party).

So, if one of more personen of the group, originally booking together, have to cancel their trip we are not going to ask the remaining members of the party to pay extra for the difference. For this reason cancelation a trip (booked-with-group-discount) by one or more members of the party will cause an extra withholding (to the personen cancelation) relative to the new (i.e. lower) applicable discount percentage applicable to the remaining members of the party. The withholding will be a percentage of the basic rate to be settled with the refund due by La Ligne Verte.

Example: 5 person book a trip with group discount of 12%.
Basic rate p.p. 1000, with group discount 880. Total paid (basic rates only): 5x 880 = 4400.
2 personen cancel their participation. Remaining members : 3, which will cause a new discount of 8%.
New price for the remaining members 3 x 1000 minus 8%= 3 x 920 = 2760
The remaining members had already paid 3 x 880 = 2640. Rest still to be paid: 2760-2640=120.
120 will be hold in and settled with the cancellation refund due by La Ligne Verte to the 2 personen who cancelled.

Cooling-off Period
By law, there is no cooling-off period for bookings.

Legal Framework: According to Dutch and European legislation (Title 7A Book 7 of the Dutch Civil Code and the revised Package Travel Directive), there is no statutory cooling-off period for package tours, unless the organiser offers one. This has been confirmed by ConsuWijzer and the ACM: “When booking a trip, you do not have a cooling-off period” and cancellation fees apply from the moment of booking, unless the organiser decides otherwise.
We consider the booking date to be the date stated on the booking form or the date of the email confirming your acceptance of the "final quote".
We offer a cooling-off period of 2 days. This cooling-off period is our own policy and not required by law.

For bookings where the first day of the arrangement is less than 28 days after the booking date, we do not offer a cooling-off period.

We will only start sending hotel reservations after the cooling-off period has expired or once you have given us permission by email to start the reservations.

We usually only book cancellable hotel rooms. If a hotel room (usually in a luxury cycling or hiking arrangement) is booked with a non-cancellable portion, we will only do so with your approval and any extra cancellation costs will be your responsibility.

 During the two-days cooling-off period, no hotel or Chambre d’Hôte will be booked or reserved for you.

If you cancel  a booked trip 56 days or more before the start of the trip, 100% of the amount already paid by the traveller will be refunded, minus €10 per reserved night per room for administration, file, and cancellation costs. However, the non-refundable rooms reserved with your consent will be offset against the refund of the remaining paid travel sum.

Some hotels require a non-refundable (deposit) payment to confirm a reservation. As these non-refundable reservation costs increasingly extend to more than one month before the reservation date, these payments made will also be charged to you in the event of cancellation and deducted from the refund amount.

If you cancel between 56 and 43 days before the start of the first day of the arrangement, the cancellation fee is 30% of the travel sum. The non-refundable rooms reserved with your consent will be offset against the refund of the remaining 70% of the travel sum.
If you are unable to attend, you may always have someone else take your place without additional costs. You can do this by sending us the name of the replacement person by email up to the day before the first overnight stay.
If you wish to postpone the arrangement to a later date, you can have the cancellation fees converted into a non-refundable deposit.

If you cancel between 42 and 29 days before the start of the first day of the arrangement, the cancellation fee is 40% of the travel sum. The non-refundable rooms reserved with your consent will be offset against the refund of the remaining 60% of the travel sum.
If you are unable to attend, you may always have someone else take your place without additional costs. You can do this by sending us the name of the replacement person by email up to the day before the first overnight stay.
If you wish to postpone the arrangement to a later date, you can have the cancellation fees converted into a non-refundable deposit.

If you cancel between 28 and 15 days before the start of the first day of the arrangement, the cancellation fee is 50% of the travel sum. The non-refundable rooms reserved with your consent will be offset against the refund of the remaining 50% of the travel sum.
If you are unable to attend, you may always have someone else take your place without additional costs. You can do this by sending us the name of the replacement person by email up to the day before the first overnight stay.
If you wish to postpone the arrangement to a later date, you can have the cancellation fees converted into a non-refundable deposit.

If you cancel between 14 to 8 days before the start of the first day of the arrangement, the cancellation fee is 80% of the travel sum.
If you are unable to attend, you may always have someone else take your place without additional costs. You can do this by sending us the name of the replacement person by email up to the day before the first overnight stay.

If you wish to postpone the arrangement to a later date, you CANNOT have the cancellation fees converted into a non-refundable deposit.
We will seek a solution acceptable to all parties in consultation with the hotels.

If you cancel 7 to 2 days before the start of the first day of the arrangement, the cancellation fee is 90% of the travel sum.

If you cancel on the day before the start of the first day of the arrangement or thereafter, you are no longer entitled to a refund.

Bookings and cancellations must be made by email or by post (if cancelling by post, do so by registered mail for date verification purposes).
