Average 42 km a day, moderately difficult, on the slopes and through the Valley of the Tarn and Dourdou.  

Between and Millau, in the center of Parc des Grands Causses, you will be biking alongside the Tarn river in a steep sided valley. Down in the valley  between two hilly plateaux which rise up to 800m height, you'll get the feeling of being up in the mountains.  The river flows swiftly to the West through the valley, also called "La Vallée de l'Amitiée". Halfway between Albi and Millau are the Raspes du Tarn. mountainbiking on the hilly slopes of Tarn river you'll see and visit old castles in Brousse-le-Chateau and St.Izaire and pitoresque villages like Ayssènes, St.Rome-de-Tarn, Viala-du-Tarn and Le Minier. From the second half of june the chirring sound of cicades will go all along with you as if in Provence.

A mtb trip in a mountainous area. Although middle high (800m altitude) a tough trip in Tarn valley, up to the plateau du Lévézou, through the valley of the Dourdou and via the Tarn valley.

  • Moderate off-the-road  biking:

  • "Active" for those who prefer biking off the road and enjoy quite an amount of going up and down the hills. Taking the bike on the shoulder is reduced to a minimum. Good physical health required.
    The length of this mountain-bike trip isabout 40 km a day.

  • The tracks are  on single and double tracks also marked for walking trips. These tracks are meant for the experienced bikers (with often 50m e up and down). Therefore 40 km is the dayly maximum. If you want we can adapt the trail to make it more difficult or lighter or shorter. No dirty roads, sometimes on rocky track. 

  • The weather in late July - early August is warm to hot (25-30 degrees Celsius). But  in the valleys (Tarn and and Dourdou) it is cooler.
