Cycling along at your own pace, you're able to absorb the sights, scents, and atmosphere in a way you never could on an ordinary holiday. This region of France is a wonderful location for a light French cycling holiday with major river valleys clad in green woods and forests. Often as though hanging from cliff edges you see many sandstone fortified villages. Romantic ancient villages are just some of the delights to see on your French cycle tour in the extraordinary variety of landscapes of Aveyron and the Parc Naturel des Grands Causses.
A light journey along three rivers: Tarn, Sorgue and Dourbie. The trip goes through three very different sceneries:

The first part you will be cycling in the Canyon of the Dourbie to Nant.
You'll see the vultures circling high above you.

In the second part you'll be traversing the Causse du Larzac and see La Couvertoirade the most known Templars town, The Larzac is a limestone plateau from where the Templars started their crusades to Jerusalem in th 12th and 13th century, nowadays known because of José Bové 's struggle with the globalized world. You'll find Roquefort and its cheese caves on your way. Through the beautiful valleys of the Sorgue you'll be heading slowly going down to St. Affrique.

In the last part you'll cycle in the valley of the Tarn and ride
under the Millau Viaduct back to your starting place: Millau.
On your first day too you can cycle to the Millau viaduct.
